THE 2009 Great Hunterdon County Rubber Ducky Race

Almost sixteen-hundred ducks meandered their way over the falls at Clinton Mill on Sunday, July 12th, all part of the 20th Annual Great Hunterdon County Rubber Ducky Race.  Bright sunshine, blue skies and puffy clouds made a perfect backdrop for an event filled with anticipation for the hundreds of spectators that lined the Raritan River.

After expenses all funds raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society and to The Wellness Community of Central New Jersey--providing Hope, Education and Support for people affected by cancer. 

Our winners are: 

1st place:  Ywone Harrison/John Dowbachuk of Hampton, NJ - wins a 4 day, 3 night Walt Disney World Package for two (includes airfare for 2, hotel, Park Passes).

2nd Place:  Theresa Muentener of NY, NY - wins a Travel Voucher for 50,000 domestic airline miles.

3rd Place:  Julia Lynch of Yardley, PA - wins a magnificent gift basket from Clinton Guild.

4th Place:  Charles Dasilva of Flemington, NJ - wins a $250.00 gift certificate from Clinton Falls Framing and Art Gallery.

5th Place:  Sarah Wiant of Clinton, NJ - wins a $250.00 gift certificate from Krause’s Florist at Clinton Falls.

Last Place Ducky:  Julie Esch of Annandale, NJ—wins the Last Duck trophy and $100 Gift Certificate sponsored by “The Walker Team” Douglas & Nancy Jean Walker of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, in Clinton.

Clinton Sunrise Rotary Club thanks the Star Ledger, Hunterdon Democrat and Hunterdon Review for their support and coverage of Sprintin Clinton and the Rubber Ducky Race.

This year’s event benefits the American Cancer Society programs of research, education, advocacy and patient/family services in Northwest NJ Region and the gold standard programs of support, education and hope for cancer patients and their families at The Wellness Community of Central New Jersey.
