Rubber Duck Race has raised over $180,000 for American Cancer Society

Text Box: CLINTON -- It was a beautiful day for a duck as the 22nd annual rubber duck race to benefit the American Cancer Society and the Wellness Community of Central N.J. was held on Sunday, July 10, 2011. Sponsored by the Clinton Sunrise Rotary Club, the event is an annual favorite that brings crowds of supporters and on-lookers to historic Clinton.
Each sponsor paid $10 for a numbered rubber duck which was released in their yellow multitudes above the mill dam in the South Branch of the Raritan River. The release was conducted by members of the Clinton rescue squad's water rescue team.
In a sea of yellow, the ducks drifted over the falls and under the bridge to the waiting Clinton Sunrise recovery team who registered the winners and rounded up all the ducks for next year’s outing.
The first five ducks and the last duck finished "in the money."
1. Jacqueline Dugan's duck won her a Walt Disney World vacation package.
2. Bryan Scoth will receive a $500 travel voucher from Clark Travel.
3. Mary Racello will receive a gift basket from the Clinton Guild containing gifts and certificates worth $500.
4 and 5. Jennifer Holzman and Jackson Pyle each won $250 gift certificates from the Clinton Falls gifts and framing shop.
And just like every other year, being the ultimate loser makes you a winner: The last-place trophy with a $100 gift card was won by Shelly and Tom Bracknel.

SAVE THE DATE:  The 2012 Great Hunterdon County Rubber Ducky Race will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2012.  Bring the family!!
